Lead to Win Open Innovation
Open innovation is a paradigm that assumes that organizations (i.e. governments, businesses, not for profits) can and should use external ideas as well as internal ideas, as the organizations look to advance their technology, mission and capability.
The boundaries between an organization and its environment have become more permeable; innovations can easily transfer inward and outward. The central idea behind open innovation is that in a world of widely distributed knowledge, organizations cannot afford to rely entirely on their own research, but should instead acquire and re-use from other organizations.
Lead to Win is fundamentally an Open Innovation organization. Lead to Win builds on the best-in-class from the academic, private and government community, as well as the open source community, to achieve its objectives as an organization. Lead to Win makes all of it's learnings, materials and tools freely available to other organizations.
